Maximizing the Addis–Djibouti Railway and enabling future links to Kenya, Sudan, and Somalia.

1. Project Overview
The Ethiopian Railway Corporation (ERC) aims to implement the development of the Indode Station Port Logistics Project, with the objective of harnessing the full potential of the already built Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway line. The project also aligns with future initiatives intended to connect Ethiopia with Kenya, Sudan, and Somalia. The Indode Station Port Logistics is envisioned to be located in the surrounding area of the existing and operational Indode Freight Station. It intends to fully utilize this infrastructure by capitalizing on the surrounding assets such as the Addis Ababa–Djibouti Railway line, expressways, and several other roads. These connections enhance accessibility to different parts of the country, including the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. The strategic location, with Addis Ababa as the nation’s trading center, offers unique geographical advantages.

The Indode Station Port Logistics Development Project site is centrally located in Ethiopia, approximately 26 kilometers southeast of the center of Addis Ababa.
